Systeme.io calls itself the all-in-one tool for building an online business: funnels, email, courses, a website, a blog and an affiliate program in one dashboard. And it gives you a free plan to start. That’s a bold pitch, and with plenty of tools promising “everything” and delivering a mess, it’s fair to be skeptical.

We went through Systeme.io’s official pricing page, plan limits and help docs to see what you actually get for $0, where the limits bite, and when paying makes sense. All prices are in USD from systeme.io/pricing as of October 2026. Where Systeme.io doesn’t publish a number, we say so instead of guessing.

Quick answer: our verdict

  • Best for: solo creators, coaches and small businesses who want funnels, email and a course or digital product in one place without paying for four separate tools.
  • The free plan is real: up to 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 blog, 1 course (up to 500 students), 1 affiliate program, 1 custom domain and unlimited email sends, with no credit card and no end date (as of October 2026).
  • Paid plans are cheap for what’s included: Startup $17/month, Webinar $47/month, Unlimited $97/month, with 0% transaction fees on every plan.
  • Skip it if you need advanced email segmentation, pixel-perfect design control, or a big app marketplace.

What is Systeme.io?

Systeme.io is a browser-based platform that bundles the core tools most online businesses stitch together: a sales funnel and landing page builder, email marketing and automation, online courses and memberships, a website and blog builder, checkout and payments, webinars on higher plans, and a built-in affiliate program manager so other people can promote your products.

The appeal is simple. Instead of connecting a funnel tool, an email tool, a course platform and an affiliate tracker (and paying for each), you run everything from one login, with one contact list.

Systeme.io pricing (as of October 2026)

Systeme.io has four self-serve plans based mainly on how many contacts you have. Every plan includes unlimited email sends, 0% transaction fees and the same core set of tools. Annual billing gets you 2 months free. There’s also a “For teams” option where pricing is by call.

Free plan limits you should know about

The free plan is generous, but it’s not unlimited. According to Systeme.io’s own pricing FAQ (as of October 2026):

  • 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. You can send one-off newsletters (broadcasts) to everyone, but you can’t build much of an automated sequence on free.
  • $10,000 in total sales. Once you pass that, you have 3 days to upgrade to keep accepting payments. Honestly, that’s a nice problem to have.
  • Inactivity rule. Free accounts with no login or activity for 6 months are deactivated. Log in occasionally.
  • Going over limits after downgrading restricts the account: opt-in forms and payments stop, and emails and automations pause until you upgrade or trim back.

Key features

Sales funnels and landing pages

This is Systeme.io’s core. You pick a funnel type (lead magnet, sales page, webinar, product launch), choose a template and edit it with a drag-and-drop builder. Opt-in forms feed straight into your contact list, and checkout pages can include order bumps and upsells. It’s not as design-flexible as a dedicated page builder, but it’s quick to get a working funnel live.

Email marketing and automation

Every plan includes unlimited email sends, which is unusual. Most standalone email tools charge more as your list grows. You get broadcasts, campaigns (sequences), tags, and automation rules triggered by actions like opting in or buying. On free, the 1-rule and 1-campaign limit means you’ll likely want Startup once you rely on automated sequences.

If email is your main channel and you want deeper segmentation or analytics, a dedicated tool may suit you better. See our guide to the best email marketing tools under $50/month.

Online courses and memberships

You can host video courses, drip content, and bundle courses into memberships. The free plan allows 1 course with up to 500 students, which is enough to validate a first product. Paid plans raise the course count (5, 20, then unlimited).

Website and blog

Systeme.io includes a simple website builder and a blog (1 on free). It’s fine for a basic site that funnels people to your offers. If SEO content is your main traffic strategy, a dedicated CMS like WordPress gives you more control, and you can still use Systeme.io for funnels and checkout.

Built-in affiliate program

This one’s easy to overlook: you can launch your own affiliate program so others promote your products for a commission, with tracking and payouts managed inside Systeme.io. Systeme.io’s own FAQ points out that a separate affiliate tracker like Tapfiliate starts at $89/month (per their October 2026 comparison).

Webinars, CRM and more

The Webinar plan adds evergreen (automated) webinars. All plans include contacts and tags, and Systeme.io also lists CRM pipelines, creator stores, white label options and a public API among its features.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A genuinely usable free plan with no credit card and no end date.
  • Unlimited emails on every plan, so your email bill doesn’t climb with every send.
  • 0% transaction fees from Systeme.io on all plans (your payment processor, like Stripe or PayPal, still charges its own fees).
  • Replaces several tools. Funnels, email, courses and affiliates in one place means fewer logins and fewer integrations to break.
  • Low paid pricing. Even Unlimited at $97/month matches the entry price Systeme.io cites for ClickFunnels alone.
  • Free migration is listed on the pricing page if you’re moving from another platform.

Cons

  • Templates and design control are basic compared with dedicated page builders.
  • Email features are solid, not advanced. Power users may miss deeper segmentation and reporting found in specialist email tools.
  • Free plan automation is tight: 1 automation rule and 1 campaign.
  • All-in-one means lock-in. When your funnels, list, courses and checkout live in one place, switching later takes work.
  • Inactivity deactivation on free accounts after 6 months.

Who Systeme.io is for (and not for)

Great fit if you are:

  • A solo creator, coach or consultant launching a first digital product, course or lead magnet.
  • A small business that wants an email list and a sales funnel without paying for multiple subscriptions.
  • Someone who wants their own affiliate program without buying a separate tracker.
  • Budget-conscious and under 2,000 contacts, where the free plan may cover everything.

Not the best fit if you:

  • Run a physical-product store with a large catalog. A dedicated ecommerce platform is the better base.
  • Need highly customized page design or a large app ecosystem.
  • Treat email as your main business and want advanced segmentation, testing and analytics.
  • Have a team that needs complex permissions and enterprise features (look at the “For teams” option or other platforms).

Systeme.io vs the alternatives

The most common comparison is with Kajabi and Kartra, two all-in-one platforms that cost considerably more. We broke down features, pricing and who each one suits in Systeme.io vs Kajabi vs Kartra. Short version: Kajabi is the more polished course-and-community platform, Kartra goes deep on marketing features, and Systeme.io wins on price and on having a free plan at all.

If you don’t need funnels or courses and just want to email a list, a dedicated email tool may be simpler. Our email marketing tools under $50 guide compares MailerLite, Kit, Brevo and others at real list sizes.

How to get started (the smart way)

  1. Sign up for free. No card needed.
  2. Connect your domain (1 custom domain is included on free) and set up email sending.
  3. Build one lead-magnet funnel: a simple opt-in page offering a checklist or guide.
  4. Add a welcome email using your one campaign.
  5. Upgrade only when a limit actually blocks you, usually automation rules or passing 2,000 contacts. That’s when Startup at $17/month makes sense.

FAQ

Is Systeme.io really free?

Yes. The free plan has no end date and doesn’t require a credit card. It includes up to 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course and unlimited email sends, with limits like 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign (as of October 2026).

Does Systeme.io charge transaction fees?

Systeme.io lists 0% transaction fees on all plans. Your payment processor (such as Stripe or PayPal) still charges its standard fees.

What happens when I pass 2,000 contacts on the free plan?

You’ll need to upgrade to Startup ($17/month, 5,000 contacts) to keep adding contacts. Systeme.io says accounts over their plan limits get restricted until you upgrade or remove the extra.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. According to Systeme.io, you keep your plan until the next billing date, then the account moves to the free plan. Your contacts, funnels and courses aren’t deleted, but anything over the free limits gets restricted.

Is Systeme.io good for beginners?

For most beginners, yes. Having everything in one dashboard removes the hardest part of starting out: wiring tools together. The trade-off is less design flexibility than specialist tools.

Can I use Systeme.io with WordPress?

Yes. Many people keep a WordPress blog for SEO and use Systeme.io for opt-in pages, email and checkout, linking between the two.

Final verdict

Systeme.io isn’t the fanciest platform, and it doesn’t claim to be. What it does well is let a small business launch funnels, email, courses and an affiliate program for $0, then grow into paid plans that stay cheaper than most single-purpose tools. If you’re under 2,000 contacts and want to start selling online without stacking subscriptions, it’s the easiest recommendation we make.
